Music as restlessness, sleep-wake rhythms out of sync, endless thought loops: “Assembly of the Sleepless” turns the stage into an amplifier for the voices of the sleepless. Based on interviews with people who are deprived of their sleep, Clara Frühstück, Sylvi Kretzschmar and Maja Osojnik develop a hybrid form of music theater, punk concert and live art. In the clash of private and political concerns, of bedroom and stage, an expansive speaking, noisy and sounding sculpture is created – a fragile manifesto.

you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again

you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again

you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again
you’ll be wakened again

good evening
good night
This is my favourite song
I have to buy it
So I can play it
«In sleepless phases, everything seems monotonous, gruelling, too loud. Clara Frühstück, Sylvi Kretzschmar and Maja Osojnik take us into the world of involuntary wakefulness with a mixture of sound installation, performance and concert. ‘Versammlung der Schlaflosen’ ,.., creates an effective space of overstimulation.» – Lara Cortellini, FALTER: Keine stille Nacht, kein Auge zu (25.06.2024)
